APPLICATION INFORMATION
All applications, necessary documents and test results must be turned in within 6 months of starting the application process. Applications will not be considered if they are not completed within the 6-month time frame.

Your application will not be complete until you have provided a copy of the following requirements:
- Driver’s License
- Birth Certificate
- High School Transcript or GED with Test Scores. Will not accept Diploma
- DD-214 if military
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY FOR AN APPLICANT TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A PROBATIONARY PIPE TRADES APPRENTICESHIP:
- Must be at least 18 years of age at time of application.
- Complete all fields and return this form with the following:
- Driver’s License
- Birth Certificate
- High school transcripts or high school equivalency (GED) official report of test results and any partial high school transcripts.
- Military transfer or discharge Form DD- 214, (if applicable).
- Successfully complete an online assessment and Basic Math Exam.
- Appear for interview when notified.
- Must be capable of performing the work of the trade.
- Before employment and acceptance in the apprenticeship program, all applicants will be required to pass (The expense of these tests will be paid by the Committee):
- Drug test
- Background check
IF YOU ARE ACCEPTED FOR A PROBATIONARY APPRENTICESHIP, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO:
- Serve as a probationary apprentice for a period of 1 year (1,700-2,000 hours of on-the-job training).
- Serve a 5-year apprenticeship (including the probationary period 8,000-10,000 hours of on-the-job training).
- Report for work on a regular basis.
- Provide your own transportation to and from the job site.
- Work under the direction of a journeyman on the job site and perform job duties satisfactorily.
- Attend related training classes regularly and any other Training deemed necessary by the JATC, while maintaining an acceptable average in those classes.
- Pay a user fee, if required, for related training class materials.
- Abide by all rules and regulations of the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee.
